Each camper will be provided with their own sheets, blankets, pillow, a towel and a washcloth. Below you'll find the list of items you'll be responsible for bringing. We suggest that you buddy up with a friend on a few of these items to save costs and over-packing. So, please communicate with each other (ie. sunscreen, bug spray, toothpaste, shampoo & conditioner etc.). Also, there is a camp shop that will be open for snacks so you can bring some cash if you want!
CLOTHING & PACKING GUIDELINES
With the constantly changing trends in fashion, we should dress modestly and appropriately. These principles apply to both sexes. Please read our guidelines below.
1) Appropriate and modest clothing must be worn for all events such as general session, breakouts, free time and all other activities.
Examples of what not to pack are:
- Crop tops or spaghetti strap tops, (tank tops are great but please try your best not to show mid-drift) muscle shirts (this is a super revealing tank top where we can see your chest/stomach), short shorts (please pack shorts that are below fingertips), clothing with offensive language or promoting persons, bands, or products which are offensive
- No weapons of any kind, including pepper spray, knives etc. will be permitted
- No gum (this is Deer Run's request)
2) All clothing is subject to HopeUC Nashville staff approval. If a staff member feels that an article of clothing is inappropriate, he or she will ask the student to change.
