HOPEUCNASHVILLE Discipleship School is a five day a week, full time, discipleship program for young adults who desire to grow deeply in their relationship with God and learn how to lead themselves well.

There is a week-long spring and fall break as well as a school break for Christmas/ New Years ( Dec. 23- Jan 6).


In Romans 8 Paul states that, ”Creation waits with eager longing for the revealing of the children of God.” Our world is in desperate need of Christians that carry Kingdom culture and character. Our goal is that, over the course of nine months, each person who attends HOPEUCDS would build a foundational understanding of how to live out their Christian faith with excellence.  

Our students will learn the core tenets of orthodox, charismatic, Christianity. They will learn foundational scriptural understanding and application. They will gain experiences of encountering God and seeing Him move in incredible ways.

We will also have a monthly focus on specific aspects of Spiritual Formation.

MONTHLY FOCUS

I. INTRODUCTION MONTH
This month is the beginning. In this month you will learn more about the culture of Hope UC and our vision and ideal outcomes for the year. Our goal is that you would finish this month ready to receive all that God has for you this year. 
II. WORSHIP | PRAYER
We believe that one of the foundations of our relationship with God is adoration of Him and partnership with His Kingdom mission. This month we will focus on worshiping God in spirit and truth and understanding His will in our prayer life
III. EMOTIONAL HEALTH | HEALTHY FAMILY
It is impossible to lead yourself, and eventually a family unit, without a healthy interior world. This month we will focus on the foundations of emotional health and wellness. This is NOT a month long counseling session. It is however an opportunity to learn the basic principles of emotional wellness and experience interior healing that only the Holy Spirit can bring to the believer. 
IV. SPIRITUAL GIFTS
Spiritual Gifts are available to empower the Christian in the purposes of God. The goal this month is to bring clarity to the theology of spiritual gifts as well as orthopraxy (right practice) of the spiritual gifts. We will see God move in spectacular ways and use scripture as our filter for how to responsibly steward what God has imparted to His body.   
V. LIFE ACADEMY
Real life awaits you! The Christian was made for more than just to subsist. We were meant to be carriers of the mysteries of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Our goal this month is to teach our students how to live in the world, but not be of it. We will hear from entrepreneurs and business leaders on how they steward the wealth of the Kingdom of God. We will also learn the basics of financial stewardship that lead to generational blessing.  
VI. COMMUNICATION
This month we will focus on two aspects of communication. How to connect with others in our everyday life and how to publicly speak. There will be a strong focus on the gospel message as well as conversational apologetics. Students will get opportunities to preach and share the gospel effectively.  
VII. MISSIONS
This month we will be focusing on the theology of missions as well as the orthopraxy of missions. We will focus the first two weeks on local missions and the following two weeks on missions outside of our immediate community. The mission trip in the second half of the month is REQUIRED and NOT covered by student tuition. There will be fundraising events and sponsorships in order to ease the financial burden of the trips as well as more cost-effective options.  
VIII. LEADERSHIP
This month is focused on developing the leader within you. We will focus on the theology of leadership as well as the practical outworking of that theology. We will hear from leaders in all walks of life (ministry, business, education, etc.) and pull the principles from those leaders and apply them to our lives now and/ or in the future. 

CLASS SCHEDULE & FORMATION

CLASSES WILL BE WITH STAFF MEMBERS OF HOPEUCNASHVILLE AS WELL AS VARIOUS GUESTS THAT WE BRING IN THROUGHOUT THE YEAR.

EACH CLASS IS ANYWHERE FROM ONE TO TWO HOURS WITH AN INTENTIONAL MIX OF THEORY AND PRACTICE. CLASSES WILL BE HELD FOUR DAYS A WEEK (MONDAY-THURSDAY).

 *HOUSING IS NOT PART OF HOPE UC DS TUITION.IF STUDENTS ARE NOT LOCAL WE CAN CONNECT ON LOCAL HOST FAMILIES.
